Louisa May Alcott's Classic:
Little Women
It is not your standard kid’s book, with dumbed-down language, which is all the more reason for us to promote it. Take a leap into the world of Jo March/Bhaer this year.
Alcott’s characters are lively and memorable and complex, familial themes not only enjoyable, but often thought-provoking. A world kids of all ages, boys and girls, can identify with, imagine themselves in, and be challenged by.
And after you’ve read the book, the new “Little Woman” movie (Dec 2019) is a treat as well.
Did you know this is the first of a four book series?
Until this past year neither did we, but we have now read Little Women and Little Men and will be shortly diving into Good wives (in some editions, this is “Part Two” of Little Women) and Jo’s Boys.
