How do we measure the efficacy of our family whether it is a particular discipline decision or the current time schedule our family implements? Unlike business, family offers no bottom-dollar figure. Family is often left guessing pulling tools and tricks from the latest experts and many of them actually working in direct opposition to each other.
Such parents are in desperate need of a navigable destination. Where am I headed? How do I know what is right?
At A Trinity Family we believe the two stars all parents should be navigating toward are:
1) a child’s self-control
2) parent-child heart connection
This means that with every decision and interaction we can ask ourselves:
1) is this promoting this child’s capacity to manage themselves and
2) will it (in the long run at least) strengthen my heart connection with them.
With these two questions as our quality control, we can be certain we are headed for a day where we have strong, independent children who love us dearly. That is success!
